Thipe Leepile

Leepile Thipe- joined the AgriAids team in March 2010. Through his positive personality and good interpersonal skills, Leepile is already supporting 39 farm workers who tested HIV+. Of the 39 who disclosed voluntarily to him 18 are on ARV-treatment. The other 21 farm workers are still at the initial stage of HIV. He provides them support in coping with their status. Six of the 18 farm workers on treatment had not only a low CD4 count but were also infected with TB. Leepile is supporting them on a regular basis and helps them to adhere to the medication. This happened in the last quarter and the farm workers are looking well and healthy. Thanks to Leepile their family's livelihoods is secured.
